You must have:

  • HC licence
  • MC licence
  • Red/white card
  • Good knowledge of the Melbourne metro area

Any of the following would be advantageous:

  • Machinery relocation experience

The role:

With an extensive customer database (notably with Sub Contractors) your focus will be on ensuring timely quoting, winning jobs and exceeding client’s requirements. Your focus will be supporting clients and surpassing current sales activities, whilst working closely with the operations team and MD to ensure operational needs and resources are allocated to your jobs as required. 

Central to your role will be:

  • Understanding our clients and their requirements
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Leverage your sub-contractors contacts to support our Transport operations
  • Heavy haulage – including but not limited to oversized movements.
  • Interstate Transport both in-gauge and oversized.


- An understanding of HSE particularly within the Transport industry.

- Have a passion for the industry and exceeding customer expectations.

- Excellent verbal and written skills.

- Basic computer skills

Advantageous but not essential:

- Have good knowledge of open trailer transport specifically oversized heavy haulage loads

- Strong knowledge of compliance – NHVR requirements and load restraints.

- Knowledge of Road Transport regulations & gazettes 

- Familiarity/willingness to learn chain of responsibility legislation.

Membrey's Transport & Crane Hire, a family owned business, are currently looking for a highly motivated Crane Hire Sales Representative to join our team. 

The successful applicant will be required to develop sales strategies to attract new customers and service our existing customer base. You will come from a crane background with a passion for cranes. 

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Find and create new leads
  • Build strong active relationships
  • Conduct site inspections
  • Prepare lift studies and SWMS
  • Work closely with Operational and Maintenance Teams to execute scopes of work.
  • Support our internal and external projects, providing strong technical support to identify the best methodologies to safely deliver solutions for our clients
  • Work closely with stakeholders across all aspects of Tendering, Project Planning, Execution and HSE.
  • Manage work scope, schedule and budgets where required.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Sales experience 
  • Able to establish quick rapport with clients
  • Excellent time management skills 
  • Ability to work within a team as well as autonomously 
  • Strong computer skills 

You will either have a strong construction knowledge or come from an engineering background with the ability to utilise your current skill set within this role.


Membrey's Transport & Crane Hire are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Crane Truck driver.

The successful candidate will need to:

  • Have experience in the transport industry, specifically machinery relocation would be considered beneficial
  • Have a High Risk card – CV licence minimum
  • Knowledge of the Melbourne metro area
  • Maintain a neat and tidy appearance at all times
  • Be committed to safety
  • Have a strong work ethic and be reliable

Due to an ever-growing fleet Membrey's Transport & Crane Hire are currently seeking a qualified and experienced diesel mechanic to join our team. You will be required to assist with the general maintenance and repair to our large fleet of mainly Kenworth prime movers, variety of trailers, access equipment and cranes (Terex & Liebherr).

The successful candidate will need to:

  • Fully Qualified with 2+ years in the field
  • Have a HC licence and/or manual drivers licence
  • Forklift licence would be an advantage
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Have a strong work ethic and be reliable
  • Effective troubleshooting and problem solving ability
  • Be able to work under pressure in a demanding and fast paced environment
  • Must be safety conscious and have the ability to promote a safe environment
  • Sound mechanical aptitude
  • Good communication skills and able to work as part of a team

Growth within our business has led to a newly created role of an in-house qualified and reliable Tyre Fitter to join our workshop team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Removing and replacing tyres
  • Performing puncture repairs
  • Diagnosing wheel balance problems, tyre damage and wear
  • Attend breakdowns etc as required
  • Keep up to date with mandatory training

To be considered for the role, you will have:

In this major growth phase at Membrey’s we are re-structuring our workshop to ensure it meets all mechanical needs for our fleet and having a passionate, energised team to meet these requirements is fundamental. 


Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will provide a range of support to all areas of payroll and accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly payroll, ensuring compliance with legislative guidelines for deductions, contributions, and benefits.
  • Manage employee records, terminations, and oversee onboarding/offboarding in payroll systems.
  • Input timesheets and promptly address payroll inquiries.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to offer guidance and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Support accounts receivable through receipt processing, follow-ups, and reporting on overdue amounts.
  • Manage accounts payable, handling data entry, payment processing, and reconciliations.
  • Handle purchase orders, code and process invoices, and verify/set up new accounts.
  • File documentation systematically and adhere to HSEQ policies.
  • Provide written and verbal reports to management, carry out administrative tasks, and engage with clients, vendors, and suppliers.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll and accounts, with a focus on end-to-end payroll processing and accounts administration

  • Experience in interpreting and working with EBA's.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with essential experience in Excel.
  • Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team

You are a driven, professional, self-starting AR officer with several years' experience in a full-function Accounts Receivable role within a complex company. 

Your attention to detail will be second to none, this role can be monotonous but is recognised as a vital role in the success of our business. The role itself is fluid – days are rarely the same within this successful company and as part of a small tight knit team you will be able to do a range of tasks as required. 

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to;

  • Processing of general receivables
  • Liaising with internal departments regularly
  • Following up customer via phone and email
  • Receipting of payments, daily returns and refunds
  • Raising invoices and ensuring correct revenue recognition
  • Ad-hoc finance team support duties
  • Invoice data entry
  • General administration responsibilities
  • Purchasing duties

Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills and characteristics:

  • Minimum 2+ years experience in an Accounts Receivable position, with a firm knowledge and grasp on both AR and AP
  • Excellent phone manner
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • First rate customer service skills
  • Excellent reconciliation skills
  • Data entry 
  • Proficiency with using MS Office suite, particularly MS Excel

You are an excellent communicator, with experience dealing with senior managers and a passion for change and process improvement.
