Transport hire company, Membrey’s Transport & Crane Hire, recently accepted delivery of a 4×4 Full Widener Rear Steer trailer from The Drake Group for its new 40-tonne Franna crane.
The standard trailer features enhanced manoeuvrability combined with maximum stability with remote controlled steering in both forward and reverse, but this example was made completely custom for Membrey’s Managing Director, Craig Membrey.
“Every trailer that Craig Membrey builds is always specialised,” Membrey told Trailer.
“I don’t build normal run-of-the-mill trailers, everything has to be custom made and be 100 per cent the way I want it, and the Drake Group make it happen for me, always.
“This one’s specialised – it’s got a lowered drop in the well to do higher loads, it’s got a big hydraulic remote-control winch on it, it’s got double-action ramps for doing steep loads, and it’s got remote-control steering too.”
Membrey has been a loyal Drake customer for 20 years and has permanent orders with them on a regular basis. Membrey said he loves the product and has another three trailers coming down the line.
“I’m a very demanding person and what I want is what I get, and Drake makes it happen,” he said.
“I recommend Drake to everyone, it’s a really well-branded product and its great value for money. They’re just amazing for what they sell them for.
“Drake’s a lovely family, I love that every time I walk into Drake they make me feel like I’m part of the family as well.
“It’s a ripper quality product, unfortunately you can’t get a new trailer for two years, but I say to people that it’s worth the wait.”
In other news, The Drake Group has once again stunned the transport industry with its quality equipment.
